The College Board has released a new syllabus for the AP Computer Science A in 25/26. Specifically, it will not include unit 9 (inheritance) and will add in text and file processing, and condense the organization into 4 units (I believe).
Will there be an updated Codio course that I can use?
We are currently undergoing the College Board endorsement process. We will update the material in our resource library accordingly.

Is there any update on the AP Computer Science A curriculum update for 2025/2026?
Thanks,
Craig
I sent back some material with some revisions, so the process is still ongoing. Apologies for the delay.

The review process from College Board is taking longer than expected. Here is an excerpt from our last email exchange with them:
We’re taking an optimistic viewpoint and are aiming to update our AP CSP Endorsed Providers webpage to include Codio.
We have not yet received word that we can post the new material to our resource library. We will be sure to make an announcement when you can get a copy of the updated material. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Just to clarify something, that response mentioned AP CSP. That is the Principles course. We are talking about AP CSA. Very big difference!

Is there a way we could get a preview of the course, or a timeline from the College Board? When was that response from? I cannot wait until August to find out that I need to re-platform to one of the eight that already have been approved.
Thank you
That was a mistake on their end. We have not written any CS P content for College Board. I’ll inquire about an update and the possibility of providing a preview of the material.
Is there an update to this? We’re getting to the point that I will need to choose a different platform if Codio is not approved for the 2025 AP Computer Science A course.
Here is the latest response from College Board:
Both our internal and external content reviewers are completing working related to end-of-year and summer activities, so I’m working to try to close out Codio’s re-endorsement document review as soon as possible. I understand that it’s important for you to get an answer sooner than later—if it helps, know that we have included Codio in the 2025-26 iteration of the AP CS Endorsed Provider Brochure, which will be used at conferences this upcoming summer. So, yes, I’m anticipating we’ll get you over the finish line, and I’m hoping to have more information for you by next Monday, June 30.
I emailed them since the 30th has passed, but I have not yet heard back from them. I apologize that this is dragging on so long.

Could I at least get access to the curriculum so I can build my courses? Even if it changes, it would help so I can start. I have a lot of custom content that I merge into the Codio course, and the units for 2025/2026 have changed.
It’s July 11. If I can’t get the 2025/2026 AP Comp Sci A curriculum by the end of the day, I need to switch platforms. I can’t be weeks away from starting a course without knowing this. I’ve been asking for months. Is Codio supporting this material or not?
